My ST-22 is extremely accurate and cycles perfectly for thousands of rounds without cleaning and more importantly without failure, it's amazing.

and pretty much just blasting away.

You got any past shot cards / groups with this rifle you can photograph and show...?

Was just looking at the precision marksmen ST22's and they look quite nice.

It has to be said, for finish, the Lantec still edge ahead for me, but the price mark of the ST's was surprising...

My CMMG is very accurate, won a few club mini rifle comps with it, but I never shoot from a rest unless zeroing sights.

It was one of the last ones supplied by Lantac, which required a couple of hours fettling as CMMG QC is somewhat lacking.

The Raven uses a far better barrel than the CMMG, semi-auto match chamber and not mimicking the government profile like the CMMG. If I had the money I would have had one.

I won't shoot again until Tuesday night, but I'll do 2 cards, one for quick 24 round dump grouping and then one for high precision. The best thing I've found about my ST-22, is with the black dogs, you can balance it on the mag and even with the mag moving around to the absolute limits within the magwell, it never causes a failure to feed or extract. I can't say the same for other mags or other guns I've tried. Personally I think this is critical.

The ST-22 comes in billet aluminium as well as forged aluminium, where as the Raven is just billet AFAIK. I think you're comparing a forged ST-22 against a billet Raven, which is why the price and finish is attractive. If you compare the billet Spikes against the billet Raven, the finish is identical. I desperately wanted a billet Spikes, but Spikes were just changing their supplier just as I ordered, I waited for months for production to restart and then opted for the forged. Having seen the forged finish in the flesh now, I'm still happy with my decision. Billet is VERY nice, but it comes at a premium and given the forged is also VERY nice, you wouldn't be disappointed.

Having said that, I would say there's nothing between a billet Spikes ST-22 and a billet Lantac Raven in terms of cost, quality or accuracy if you build the Spikes up to the same level, both are lovely.

Here's my forged Spikes and a Raven side by side.

The only change I've made to it is I've replaced the mag release to an ambi-mag release.
