Don't know what I would be getting.

Punt out a ballpark cost and see if it is acceptable to us.

Rough idea I'd say 150-200 for a unit that's ready to be mounted on a table and shot at. That's really rough though, depends on the thickness of steel on the front required, not sure what I'd go for on that, suggestions welcome :-)

Not an unreasonable figure for me.

Steel enough to stop a 22 standard round, bearing in mind that there will be at least 4" of timber in front of it.

So 4" of wood, then a steel plate?

I'd be up for one at those sorts of numbers.

Yes, in the interests of safety at short ranges there should be no metal down range unless it is fronted by wood to stop any splash back/ricochet..

Light enought to carry but personally I'd go for overbuilt and solid than flimsy.

Operation and maintenance needs to be simple and idiot proof.

Parts need to be easily available and replaceable.

Spacings need to be right.

Portability.

No loose electric string.

Now this is the thing - The current units require the lollipops with the target faces on them to be changed each time...if you were just practicing or plinking then you could re-set it several times before changing the target faces, but that's no good for comps...

...if someone could come up with a way to present a clean face after each round multiple times remotely, that would be ideal...
