Posting of negative comments in the Gunshop section could bring unwanted criticism on the forum, having said that it is important to let members know if dealings with a Gunshop were less than ideal for you. To that end we will allow what will be known as the 'Scotsgun Ruling'

The Scotsgun Ruling:

>Add Gun Shop here<

"As I've yet to have a 'positive' experience there, I'll refrain from commenting further."

Beyond that please take it up with the Gunshop, if you do resolve the issue in a agreeable manner let us know!

I have had quite a few purchases from Midway/Brownells. The last was just after Christmas for a Gen II Tapco 30 round mag for my Mini 14. Shipping was as expected from the US, 9 days.
And £8.50 is reasonable for International postage. I have had quotes in excess of $40 to ship small knives!

A customer of BOTH MidwayUK & BrownellsUK?

I have a lead on some true relics of the Holy Cross...happy to give you first refusal.

You don't have several of those weekly part-works of model kits of the titanic, steam trains, star wars spaceships, etc. as well do you?

I'd heard there was someone in the UK that kept buying such things until the final edition.

Lucky you. I'm still waiting on my sight adj. tool. Paid for 22/1/15 - supposedly got around to shipping it on the 4th Feb. Still not here.

I've finally found a chap in the States selling a second hand one on Ebay which I bought a few days back. I'm confident it will arrive here before Brownells' item (if it arrives). Postage was $10 - £6.49 from New Mexico.

We ran an order with Brownells UK and it took three weeks to arrive however when I last spoke to Gavin he did say there were some teething problems early on and things would be getting better.

Not sure of your point mate. I use them because its the only place to get certain parts from the US for my guns.
I was very happy to pay the £18 + postage for the Mag rather than be stiffed by Uk dealers who where asking in excess of £50 for the same item. One dealer wouldn't even give me a price on Mini 14 mags unless I travelled 80 miles to his shop!!

Im afraid Ive searched quite extensively for the parts Ive bought from Midway/Brownells.
In most cases Its not a matter of anyone else being cheaper. Its just the fact that they are just not available elsewhere.

The Tapco mags did seem to be a bargain though
