north cotes, skeg, liverpool and leek are where most of the comps are held. Although they are always after more places! But I don't mind travelling for it

Me too, I live in weardale, have a hat and bought some boots but sold them again after getting stick off my kids for looking gay. Would love a good reason for a coach gun and somewhere to play with it. I have a uberti navy colt but can never get the bugger to do six bangs in a row. Already got a winchester 94 AE(don't like it that much though)
Back in the day had a .44 uberti peacemaker, great fun... of course my ability to rampage with it put a stop to that. **** **** ****
What about Bob Dunkley ? didn't he run a Cowboy action shoot at one time?

Shouldn't a proper coach gun have external hammers? Like this Baikal?:

yes, and those are really your only two options for coach guns. the stoeger is slightly faster from the off as you don't have to learn to cock the hammers as you open.

actually, there is a third option, the pedersoli wyatt earp

i did get a 16g hammer gun with 25" barrel (from damage) but at the moment, my pump is faster.

but as far as BWSS is concerned. box locks are fine

Wyatt Earp? I thought it was Doc Holliday who favoured a Coach Gun with a 10 bore?
