Froggy, how you finding the 1911?
I must say I'm getting more and more tempted.

The GSG 1911, made of some zamac type of alloy, retails for GBP 200 ($ 270) in the US. From my limited experience, it is a good cheap fun plinker, ie : over 700 rounds so far without any single issue & ok grouping . Since it is not a match pistol, to me the sights are very adequate. My only gripe is that mine shoots PoI consistently & unacceptably 5 inches over PoA . The UK importer is on the case with GSG & if they sort it out for 200 quid I'd be happy with it.
But zamac beeing hardly synonymous of quality firearms, would the GSG 1911 LBP be worth GBP 450 anywhere outside England ? Hell no !! Sadly here the next options are in the GBP 800 bracket, so I got this bottom price UK LBP and a real, good quality firearm for the continent.
