..... and, Armargh is an outstandingly beautiful county! I saw an awful lot of it up close, on many a long "walk" through it!! LOL!

I have to agree with you there buddy, im a farmer and so I get to work outsude all day. I take it for granted sometimes but I would highly recomend Ireland to anyone looking a countryside/scenic holiday.

I'm also Danish ... well by descent anyhow. I once went there and when they asked me my name, and I replied, so they asked me how to spell it, and after I spelled it, they exclaimed: "oh, you meant ... nehoghowu", or some other word I had never heard in my whole life. and evidently I'm common (in the statistical sense) ...

I am a Brit through and through but our illustrious forum admin Christel is Danish. The Danish language can be difficult to follow however they invariably speak good English and at any opportunity. I am forever making wild guesses at pronouncing words much to the delight/dismay of the Danes I am with. A local village to us was called Hvidbjerg - it amazed me to hear it was pronounced 'Vibian' They also have a few words I find amusing but that is just my humour. Middle Fart being a good example :lol:

I have to ask, what is the name they pronounced so differently?
