How long would you expect that to take, as it has been 2 weeks since they should have received it?

I really just want to know they have received it or not, as if not I can reprint the form and resend it.

Evidence of the money going out of the bank is usually a good start and indicates things are on track. :good:

It does seem a bit slow to be fair - mine was cashed the day after they received it. Okay, I sent it to the wrong Police force but even so :-)

Well still no sign of the cheque being cashed.

Did you send it recorded delivery?

Stupidly no, it would have delayed it by a couple of days as I couldn't easily get to the Post Office, so it was sent 1st class.

Maybe this will be another case of more haste, less speed.

All my cheques to plod have usually been cashed within the week so if yours hasn't I'd say its lost :bad:

It took Thames Valley about a month to get around to cashing mine last time I had a variation.
Had mixed info on the issue. Some said they wouldn't cash it until they were about to issue the variation. Others said they wouldn't even get cracking until the money was trousered. In any event it took two months all but a day or so from putting the variation in to getting it done - so I was never any the wiser.

Thanks Dark Skies, it is nice to hear from a Thames Valley "customer".

It seems to have taken them 11 days to reply to an email, as I emailed on the 6th to see if they had received it and got a reply yesterday (although it only came through overnight). And even that reply was asking for postcode and D.O.B.

Considering I sent it from an email address that I put on the form you would have thought that would have worked for verification, rather than asking for information that anyone that know me would be able to give them.

Variations/renewals/notifications - all sent by 1st signed for and emailed as well.

You have no come back if a letter is lost and there is no signature.
