Same week! Is the safety course really on a Thursday/Friday? You can tell Vanessa and Andy are retired!!
20% off everything at Brownells today. However if you just want a single flag for each gun (the ones from Brownells come in 6/8 packs*) ask Vanessa/Andy if they have any.
*Saying that having spares is handy because it is quite likely you'll break a few, plus there's always someone who'll want to buy one or two off you.
FYI if you do come to the shoot on the 9th bring a present with you worth about £5 (bottle of wine etc) as there's a secret santa type thing at the end

Oh aye, don’t know how I missed that!
Doubt I’ll be down then unfortunetly.
Yes the course is Thursday / Friday, Vanessa has been great. I’ve missed all the others due to the dates being on while I’m overseas and I think I may be the only one going this time, she’s basically setting it up for me I think. Can’t thank her enough for that, hopefully means I can get out on the range soon now.

For got to mention. If you do get the Prodec clip belt from Norman Clarke, unless you're skinny as a rake and don't wear anything thicker than a t-shirt/polo top, you can zip-tie a length of pipe lagging behind the belt to give it some stand off space from your gut/clothing. As well as making the cartridges easier to grab, it also stops them being pushed out of the clips
Pictures below (hopefully) of what I mean, obviously not a standard Prodec clip belt but you get the idea

Bought a Prodec clip belt from Norman Clarke, and it is an excellent piece of kit. Thanks for the heads up Mark.
No modifications needed.

Used the prodec belt from Norman Clark yesterday worked great, although I’m already p*** that the other guys are faster than me! Lol.

More speed will come with practice. There was a guy making dummy cartridges for loading practice at home, but he seems to have ceased trading. Shouldn't be too difficult though to make some out of empties. A 3/4" wooden dowl or better still aluminium bar for a more realistic weight pressed into the empty case and trimmed to length would be one option. Marked differently and kept seperate from normal ammo for safety of course.
