Saw some of the Racoon Dogs last summer at a big pet show in the Birmingham area.
The ones I saw seemed to be ok & behaved on a lead. Patted a couple or three and still have all my fingers.
Turns out a lot of them get rescued from China & such places as it's the done thing in those parts to use them as practice for fighting dogs, etc...plus they see it as normal to use them for food, skinning them alive prior to cooking.
