Its bizarre because once the kit has been fitted and screw removed, the barrel has much more 'slop' in it, in relation to the frame, but somehow accuracy improves?!
I'm not going to argue with the results though :)
Their system gives a tighter bushing fit to the cylindrical barrel so the relationship between the foresight an the barrel is more consistent, the screw is removed because if it's left in the differences between barrel and slide alignments cause friction, wear and cycling problems,

Nick

I've fitted this kit to my brand new GSG and I've not fired it but the slide rides a lot rougher on the new bushing. With the replacement guide rod in place, it doesn't run at all!

Daft question but, you have removed the screw that locks the barrel in place haven't you??

+1
This is vital with that kit as the slide rails and barrel almost never align perfectly on the GSG, hence the standard bushing being made with such a loose fit to allow for this without jamming up,

Yes. Removed and tapped. It just wanted running in. Ran 200 through it today with plenty of lube and now it's sweet!

See the target I posted, shot at 50m, aiming off was to drop on the paper without fiddling with the sights, That's the grouping at 50m that my barrel bushing and sleeve allow, even with a poor sight picture and aiming off ;-)
You don't have to remove the screw to allow the barrel to flop about to follow the slide either

If it's worth anything..I bought a new edgar bros gsg last week, I took it to the range yesterday and was very impressed.....without really properly concentrating at 25m free standing I got all 40 in the 10 with a few (well 35%!) in the 9 of a 1500 center.....I was so impressed I'm going to get a nice optic to go on it...

I'm still wondering how you got all 40 in the 10 but some in the 9....
