The PH's are, sadly 'yesterdays gun' go for the more modern option which is designed around todays ammunition.
The older guns were designed for ammunition of a different era and there is genuine and proper concern over the ability of older actions to stand up to the protracted 'bashing' of modern ammo.
The 700 is an action which has spawned many 'clones' and is an excellent one. As has been said, there are also countless upgrades, bolt on, bells and whistle 'improvements' available.
The Diggle guys will steer you right anyway.
Whatever you chose, have fun.
