I think you are a little bit ill mannered by saying this, because I have had a SGC since 1971 and wouldn't advocate doing anything illegal intentionally. How do you know that I don't have this shotgun on an FAC???
OK, it's easy enough to re-loctite it, but all this post was about was whether it was possible to do this, not for someone to make assertions that I may not even hold a licence.
Jeeze this is getting like the old guntrader site, with people simply looking for a bleedin' argument.
The OP was whether a Mossberg 500 could have its magazine tube removed, not whether I held a FAC of SGC, and the answer to both these questions is YES

You're quite right, you haven't. I had a brain fart and implicated yours in my head as the other poster with a 600 admitted his S2 600 didn't comply with S2 requirements. I think I quoted the wrong post and went from there. Oops. Apologies

Now we're all friends again(!). What does 'sweated-in' actually mean?

Technically I think it's like the Steyr SSG barrel fits- very tight press fit with the heating of one part and possibly cooling of another.
I suspect "sweated in" in this sense is also used to refer to the use of loctite as per the proof document as the result to the end user is the same.

Thanks. As I understand it, the HT Loctite 'fails' at 350 degrees+ so not an easy removal for most.
