He's not doing any more 'bitty' jobs. He's just clearing the back log of big jobs (oo er missus) he's got left. I did mention the thread protectors to Blackrifle (I think that's MajorDisorder on here?) but I'm not sure if he was keen.
Not sure you'd be able to use that holster if the only locking mechanism is the push button clasp. EDIT But then thinking about it I have seen LBR holsters that just hold them in with friction alone so that might not be the case. Probably best ask whoever is running the show before parting with money though.
Mark, This is mainly for my Western Shooting doing the "Wild bunch" comp where we need a 1900s looking holster. So not running around as per the normal practical pistol. Put I am up at Tall trees tonight so will also ask Bob's advice.

That Price Western is fine for holster retention - used one back in the day. The front strap is the equivalent of the lock on the DAA, Ghost and H&S, so is not needed at the start of a stage. HOWEVER if you have frame mounted red dot like the C-More Serendipity and/or you use the barrel shroud it's not the holster for you. Which is why I bought one and then had to immediately sell it on....!

I mostly shoot with it on but I hate the look of it either on or off (though fractionally more off). When the first batch of GSG 1911's came along I seem to remember them having a much prettier (as much as it can be for what it is), thinner shroud. There was one site selling them not that long ago (even if different colours), but I can't find it now or indeed anyone that sells it at all. The new shroud is too fat imo.

Its a bit thinner than the factory one too so right up your street. Personally I think the factory shroud is too thin!

looks very mk23 silencer esque...
wonder if they did just tap the muzzle of a airsoft can and pop that on?
the carbon fibre jobbies from blackrifle do look good, although a part of me wants to put an osprey on one.
