He rests his rifle :)

I beat him in a recent competition with my free anschutz, a £210 scope and a DIY rest made from welded square section though.

So this is my budget setup - capable of very decent scores if only my eyes were up to scratch...

It does indeed - but your front rest cost more than my rifle, scope and rest combined. In fact about double the combined amount :)

It also wouldn't be legal in the class I shoot, so an expensive paperweight ;)

Your kit does look nice though :)

Interesting thread, I always intended to get into 22BR for a bit of fun as my local range has a 25m indoor ( plus hone the skills on a small-bore and the definitely help on the full) but then kids happened.
I just got myself a CZ455 and a second hand sightron 36x to play with, this combo really likes Eley Edge (over tenex and Lapua centre-x)
This is just a random one of the few cards that I shot with it 25m indoors but prone off a bag rather than from a bench, what does it score? I never figured that bit out
Also I think this is an NRA card? the 22BR ones are slightly different?

I agree with some of the sentiment above that it looks easy but it is not... I mean a change in atmospheric pressure can be the difference in obliterating the 2mm dot or not

One day I'll get let back out to try it again wtf

Thank you, so the max is 100 + 10x multiplier the multiplier being used to tie break?
Need to go back and read up again I think

Touching the line counts high score but breaking the line counts down

Here's a target shot by my late father, Anschutz 54 match, in a time limit league, so sling and jacket, iron sights in 90 seconds. It was the first of several he managed to shoot in his day.

Here's my first possible with a rifle, BSA Int Mk2 1970ish - sling and iron sights, no rest.

And first one with a pistol, Browning match 150. Iron sights, one hand, unsupported.
