A 452 is always going to be hard to beat.

The latest addition to my arsenal of tools chasing the rimfire accuracy!
A very rare GG G3 Gauge designed to measure base to “ogive” of rimfire rounds to find the best “seating depth”
I was lucky enough to buy this one but no doubt with the right tools and skills it would be relatively easy to make one with a .22 chamber reamer

Lovely. Robert of CG fame and I talked about them many years ago and I wish I had accepted his offer of the drawings for it.

Just ran 7 boxes of SK long Range Match through it and came up with a range of around 0.0235” to 0.0325” which I rounded to the nearest tho with the majority sitting in the 0.025-0.028” range.
So out of interest I ran 20 RWS100 through it (what’s that, £15 a box now??) and that had a spread of 0.002” BUT it was 0.019-0.021 however it’s never shot brilliantly through the RPRR so my hypothesis is that the RPRR will (finger crossed) like the majority in the 0.025-0.028 range

Keep us posted, please! Will be interested to see how much of a difference it makes overall.
I guess the key is finding a brand & type of ammunition your rifle shoots well and then working down from there!

Although light on detail, I'm pretty sure that was 50m, It would appear to have been shot on the Eley test range, probably from a fixed rest. In these batch testing sessions with rimfire the group size is measured "outside to outside" . One 40 shot group, 13mm is just about two bullet widths.

Wow.
I just checked my "fluked" group with SK LRM and it was 11.5mm edge to edge but thats only 5 shots, 25x scoped, off a solid rest & bench and 50y
To be fair thats what I am aiming for as a consistent group, I am hoping to whittle the ammo down so any bigger groups are 99% my fault
I do also have an ADT tuner coming but I will be assessing the impact of the gauge before adding the tuner, as soon as the cows are out of the range
