This has happened on occasion at our club and we just tap the bullet down the barrel with whatever long thing happens to be at hand, usually a cleaning rod and within a couple of mins we are shooting again. 4 days to tap out a bullet could be a forum record ?

Just realised I misread the original post, thought it was only a couple of inches INTO the barrel from the chamber like mine was. Was thinking Where in the hell are you going to get 12-24" screws from??

All done,,,turned out to be a lovely engineering solution. Many thanks again to 'Dromia' for his answer.
