Yes I could pay to have it rechambered in .260 but what do I do if they decide to ban .260.

Hornadys Head of Marketing deserves a medal the size of a frying pan for creating such a beastly reputation for the mighty Creedmore nipping on the heels of the 338 Lapua!

Just had the Landmarc email, the DIO at Otterburn have also implemented the ban.

"Following a review of the information contained within DSA03 OME Part 3 Vol 2, Para 81. relating to range use of ammunition based on Mv/Me values and the current recommended advice from DE&S Weapons Operating Centre relating to 6.5 mm Creedmoor it has been decided that: 6.5 mm Creedmoor ammunition shall only be used on DIO ranges where 8.59 mm ammunition is currently permitted and that for LFTTAs, planning officers must use the 8.59 mm WDA Template. This is applicable to all Users and supersedes any previous direction.

Currently the Civilian Rifle Clubs use the ETR and Ponteland A Range. Both of these facilities are not licenced for the use of 8.59mm ammunition as the maximum caliber that can be fired on these facilities is 7.62mm

Whilst 6.5mm Creedmoor ammunition does comply with the currently licenced MV of 7000J and ME of 1000mps, its performance vastly outweighs these characteristics therefore it is not authorised for use"

I'm sure you mean MV of 1000m/s and ME of 7000 Joules.......and how have they decided what it's performance characteristics are?
I found a comparison table that placed the Creed slightly behind 6.5x47Lap in ME and MV.
Someone somewhere has surely got hold of the wrong end of the stick.....bigtime.

I really hope they have a proper look into how this decision was made - Some intern working from home doing a bit of "research" on the web?
