Be aware there are two versions of the CMMG BHOA.

Minor modifications to the original, slightly thinner and chamfered metal parts. Also shipped with reduced power bolt catch spring.

A Google search reveals that I have the old type of BHOA without the chamfered end. Must be why the Evo mags don't work.

Could be but easy enough to modify yourself, although who ever sold you the Evo Mags and CMMG BHOA should have made it clear.

I feed my CMMG with the older style CMMG mags, I can't call them grey mags as I've dyed them black now.
The trick is never to run dry if you're shooting in a mini-rifle comp, more mags and change every time you move.

Never mind, CMMG only makes the grey mags now and they've stopped making the BHOA.

I did notice that Lantac are about to start providing the new mk-4 CMMG
