Opinions on AR options. I need them!

He doesn't quote prices on his website as each rifle is made to the customers specification. Between £1200 to £1500 will get you a very good rifle. The two most important things to specify are a freefloat barrel and decent trigger (although the trigger is easy to change at a later date). Best to give him a call.
Re: Opinions on AR options. I need them!
Thanks John, from all the reviews he does seem very highly rated, I'll get in touch to find out a rough cost and build time.
Re: Opinions on AR options. I need them!
Build time could be as quick as a couple of weeks and I don't think he asks for a deposit either.
Re: Opinions on AR options. I need them!
I called Mark today, seems a really nice guy, his base price is £1450 with plenty of mods available on top of that, I'll have to consider it as I was hoping to get an AR plus a .22 conversion or a Ruger 10-20 for the £1500 mark.
My other option is to keep an eye on gunstar/gunmart for a second hand deal.

Another update that may help others trying to narrow down which supplier they want to build their AR, Paul from lantac advised that there are no more NEA15 coming in to him and his basic rifle is the 14.5'' TCR Raven with cost £1560.
Re: Opinions on AR options. I need them!
I have the TCR with a 16.75 inch barel it lite agile and accurate and now its run its as smooth as anything its £1660.00 with the longer barel and mines good out to 600 yards. 14.5" is a bit short in the leg alright if your storming builds and doing a bit of cqb.

Final call was to Wayne at NWCP, his AR's start at £1200 , again any mods on top of this.
So can I ask all you AR experts for your opinion of these three options?, would all be competition standard and still offer the option to convert to .22 upper?
NWCP £1200 basic Spikes
lantac £1560 TCR Raven
Bradley arms £1450 basic AR

Does a basic Spikes include a side cocking conversion and what specification barrel is fitted? Is it free-floated?sconie wrote:Final call was to Wayne at NWCP, his AR's start at £1200 , again any mods on top of this.

You'll need a side charger and a 1:7 or 1:8 twist free float barrel to compete effectively.
Assuming you plan to add a whole new upper for .22 rather than a .22 conversion kit for your .223 upper. Using a .22 upper would only be a problem if you have a non standard lower. Anything supplied by Lantac or Bradley Arms would certainly be fine and the NWCP Spikes probably OK.
Re: Opinions on AR options. I need them!
I would go with the Bradley Arms, there are dozens of his rifles on the CSR circuit and they are proven in competition.
Mark is really easy to get hold of and deal with and his customer service is excellent.
