There is a Adams Civil War .50 BP ML revolver, but cost is prohibitive.
But there is also a place called Clements Custom Guns who can modify my ROA to a five shot .50. :)
But again at a large cost...

I lucked on a Rogers and Spencer second hand bargain. Just needs a new screw for the eccentric bolt thingy that holds the cylinder rod in place. Anybody got one?

I've just noticed on Henry Crank it's called the 'bolt screw'

Thanks for that - first time I've seen one. Some years ago I had some bullets like the one in the mould with a "tail". There was a cardboard disc on the tail but in a smaller (possibly .44) calibre. Didn't know what they were and melted them down!

I've been shooting a Pedersoli Remington 1858 Target revolver over the past couple of months and I am seriously impressed with its build quality and accuracy, from the bench at 25 yrds it just keeps dropping them into the same hole. This has got to replace the Ruger Old Army as my favourite BP revolver in fact the Pedersoli gives up little to the Heges and Feinwerkbaus.

For Colt lovers and general plinking I like the Pietta Griswold and Gunnison, a friend in the states sent me a set of Slix-Shot nipples for the Pietta Griswold and yes they do really seem to have cured the nipple dropping so prevalent in the Colt design.

Funny Cullen Bohannons replica Griswold looks nothing like mine.

Must get some more of these Slix-Shots sent over and buy myself a Colt Dragoon. These horse pistols are real guns and I had a third Model by Armi San Marco for yers, it was a tack driver but it needed a full charge of compressed FFG leaving just enough room for the ball and some water pump grease, put a wad in and reduce the powder capacity and accuracy dropped off noticeably, touching that of was fun indeed.

How is this for a large bore cap and ball revolver?
