How about G-LBP17

Can you give the mags a pull down button to ease loading?

That sounds very similar to another plane the SR71, but I don't think it matters. SR-17 gets my vote, it's simple and descriptive.

Thanks Halodin, it just seemed so simple.

how about the s-rock? as it's suffolk-rifles glock. to me, calling it a 17 is a bit daft as its not 9mm

17 refers to the patent no that Gaston filed, not the 17 round capacity or to show it was a 9mm. They have to have some recognition you know.

At least it is less likely to blow up in your hand if its .22.

Many years ago I was shooting in a concealed carry Practical Pistol shoot, (I think down at Aldershot).

I'd just loaded and holstered my Glock 21, and was standing waiting, with arms folded as required, while the previous guy finished the stage. He was also shooting a Glock .45.

It went something like: bang bang.... bang bang... bang BOOOOMMM....

Yes, his Glock had come apart in spectacular fashion....Luckily he was unhurt, but I must admit i did feel a little nervous when I eventually started shooting with mine.

The only problem I ever had with mine was on a Practical Pistol stage when it decided to go full auto and empty half a mag... stitched a neat row of holes up the target.
Luckily it was the last stage of the comp, but when i tried in on my home range it worked fine, and never did it again..

well i was more referring to Glock's naming convention, as the 17, 18, 19, 26, 34 and 43 are all 9mm.

and the Glock 22 is already made, but its a .40

Fair point, but its like going on about all the 1911 clones and the Icon arms P226 not being 9mm is kinda like being an regular person competing in the Special Olympics. Too easy and still bloody stupid at the end of the day. None of them are the real thing but the closest to own in Mainland UK. In truth, we come back to the thing called Reality and its what we have to live with .
