LDT M14 / M1A for long range shooting

A friend of mine has one of the heavy barrel versions with a fixed 10 power Bausch and Lomb scope. It shoots less than 1 moa, I have shot it and loved it. I’d love to own one.

The EBR stylee looks good, nicely done. but for me the old stock is where its at (love that classic look)

That m14 in the ebr chassis looks awesome. I went straight onto Brownells to see if they are still available and they are not. shame, I'd love to get one. Been considering one or possibly a garand.

Thanks , had to look hard for one of these I got 2nd hand from Europe. Stuck in customs for weeks though... but finally got it. Had to get a new op rod guide bloc as the original one had a crack in it.. $40 from Sage U.S.
Groups certainly improved from 100 yards even with me shooting, look forward to longer ranges. The one thing I would say about about this chassis is the weight, and glad I got the sage vertical grip, as initially I got that for like what the hell, but actually I recommend it now. With the chassis and mount there are quite a lot of Allen screws , some different sizes, not that you would need to strip off the whole chassis on the range, but just there are a lot....

I had an original m14 /m21 before the ban , with good ammo it would shoot under an inch at 100yds , the oridinal plastic stock was crap and i bought a Bishop's stock from the US intending to fit it but then the ban loomed . I still have the stock , unused and would like an m14 or the Norinco version if one turned up at the right price.

Have you tried Oakrise arms, I think he does M14s, and these come with the (fake) fire selector swtich ?

I have a medium-heavy barrel and found my best results were that of copying the M118LR round with 175gr (SMK) HPBT and I get around the same as the stated 2580fps.
