Having had an up close look at the 1301 & owning a 2006 M2 that has never let me down I have to agree with my friend above.

However the 1301 for the price looks good value, it is however not as well manufactured as the M2, the bolt carrier is welded directly to the action bars & looks a little crude when compared to an M2 but as long as it holds up then thats all that matters.

The trigger group parts look cheaper & are simple but againtime will tell if there up to the job.

My main concern is with the gas rings, it looks like an old 1187 gas ring fixed on a short piston without the rubber seal, I suspect it will need a lot more cleaning to be as reliable as an M2 over time, but the gun is nice & light & recoil is mild.

I have posted some pictures of the gun in pieces over on four4islands.

Having shot one last week I have excluded a 1301 from my list, I found the lop for to short and near impossible to mount correctly in a hurry.

So the search for a 24" m2 FAC continues

The 1301 comes with a stock extension piece that perhaps wasn't fitted, without it as you say the LOP is really short.

Does it add a decent amount to the stock? I found it so short I didn't want to shoot it

What is the LOP of the 1301 with and without the extension?
