We bought a fruit bush once called a Worcester berry. We used the berries like sloes with gin, lovely.
My vine had grapes for the first time last year and I eat the lot! This year looks to be a better crop as well, and I am going to eat them all as well
The Weim will eat the Gooseberries but luckily cannot reach the grapes or no doubt he would have a go at them as well.
We also have a Triffid (Kiwi Fruit) I suspect I will need to take a machete to it very shortly, and we have a Olive tree that had Olives on a couple of years ago, sadly they promptly dropped off.
I like the sound of the Worcester berry and will keep an eye out for one.

Aquilegias. There is a lovely old double plot in the church yard that has semi-wild flowers including Aquilegias

Have just started eating my home grown Cos lettuce, lovely in a sandwich, Home baked bread and cheddar cheese, Scrummmmy
Tomatoes are coming along nicely.

Have to agree with that. I almost gave up on Toms as I was frequently disappointed with the flavour of the ones I was producing. they didn't compare with the lovely vine type that I was able to buy in my local Tesco. The I had a brainwave
Why not when I bought some Toms with a particularly nice flavour, let one ripen off collect the seed and use it the following year. So I gave it a go. Yippee! it worked, well it has for the last two years. Really looking forward to the Runner Beans. I would desperately like an allotment but there are none locally.

This is not in our garden, however it is growing just down the path where I walk the dogs which is just outside our house so almost our garden :)
Can anyone name the purple flower?
