The gun worked flawlessly. The only problems were in the buckshot stage because i had the wrong gas piston in.

I had the same issue at Romsey, about 10 light strikes on buckshot, killed the stage for me and ultimately the match. I put it down to the fact that the gun was literally full of water (it bucketed it down when I was on the stage, not much I could do) to the extent that the barrel poored water out of the end. Is there a different piston for buck?
Not specifically for buckshot, but for 3" (magnum - my interpretation) cartridges. I'm going to retest mine using 3" carts with both pistons. I'm also going to test normal cartridges (i.e. sub 3" 28-32g loads) with the 3" piston. If the gun will still work properly with that piston i might as well leave it in and use it for everything

FYI - I tried the gas piston labelled 3" at the weekend with normal ammo (28g #7.5 2 3/4", 32g #6 2.5" and Geco Coated Competition slug) and the gun wouldn't run with any of them, it must be strictly for full-house 3" magnum loads. So next PSG comp with buckshot i'll either have to change ammo to something less pokey or remember to actually change the piston over (not much chance of that   )

As I have not got one of these guns yet could one of you post up pictures of the gas pistons & also one or two shots of the gas ports in the barrel.

Cheers.

See page 5 for the gas pistons Neil. I can try to take some pictures of the gas system but you can't get direct access to the gas ports themselves as the gas block doesn't come off the barrel

Mine 'worked' but there were two FTF and you could tell when shooting it there was too much gas in the system

Oh and another thing, i've noticed in the recent hot and humid weather the magazines must expand as mine were tight again last weekend. Not as bad as when i first got it but i gave the mag well another filing.

I've filed my mag well so the 10rd mags come out easily but not drop free but noticed when testing the action with dummy rounds yesterday that on closed bolt the 10rd mags wouldn't click in on the mag lock when full unless you really forced them, the 5rd were fine, has anyone else had this problem and how did you fix it? They click in fine on open bolt, I've also cut the mag spring down by 2 leaves is that enough?

I had that issue with one of mine. When loading it with 10 i also noticed i JUST got 10 in, where as all of the others had a good 1-1.5cm of play on them when you pushed the cartridges. Turns out it was my fault as i'd put that mags spring in the wrong way around  If you've had your mags apart (which i presume you have to chop the springs) it might be worth trying the spring in the other way around. (and by that i mean a 180 degree spin of the spring moving what would've been the front of the spring to the rear of the mag, rather than turning it end over end if you follow?)

Did you cut your mag springs down at all? I've only done 1 so far so can see what orientation the springs are in the others.

I did that with one of my M&P mags and wondered why I could only get 23rds in then found I had put the spring in wrong way round.
