With a UBR, Billet Receivers and Bull barrel that going to be one heavy rifle. With a scope that's easily going to top 10lbs.
I think the overall difference between forged and billet receivers is around 3 oz from what I've read, which is negligible.
The "heavy" UBR stock will help to counter the heavy bull barrel and (hopefully) make it more balanced.

My ST22 hates match grade ammo and I understand that this isn't uncommon for these type of rifles. Are you going to get the benefit out of a bull barrel?
I'll be trying a lot of different ammo to see what it likes best and stick with that, it might turn out to be match ammo, it might turn out to be something else, whatever batch of ammo fits with the barrel, I'm sure it probably makes no difference on this calibre, but A. I like the looks of a heavy solid barrel, and B. They seem more durable generally. Could be worse, I could have gone 20"!

MBUS are next to useless as a sight and therefore only cosmetic. That's fine if that what you want but for the sake of £70 or £80, I'd save your money.
Good point... however, you say that and I was shooting in Czech Republic this weekend and a chap had them on his Sig 551, he was hitting the target the same as the rest of us, so I'm not sure they're *that* useless, especially as a "back-up" sight. However, upon reflection, I think an offset backup sight set might be A. Cooler, and B. more useful.

The trend for rails if definitely the longer the better at the moment but in IMHO a 9" rail on a 16" barrel is too short. A 12" rail will look a lot better. If you are intending to use iron sights it will also give you a longer sight radius.
I had only really given this thought yesterday if I'm honest when looking at the rifles online and seeing how much barrel follows the rail.
I went 9" as it's a good mid-length starting point. 12" might be the option. I think this may be something that I modify/change out if it looks off, but as I say, good starting point.

I've read that Geissele don't recommend their triggers for 22lr conversion as they have a tendency to break hammers.
Cheers
