The concept was effectively made unlawful post MARS changes to law as despite being a single shot without means of fitting a magazine, it used the energy from the fired round to eject the fired case.
So it was shut down.

Oh, right.
Hope you hadn't invested too much by then.
OOI, is it only energy from the round that can't be used to do that? Just thinking that with all the work that's happened in the last few years with electric gizmos and power-dense batteries....

The way its currently worded an electronic/solenoid affair would not be prohibited, but I would wager once one came out using that the legislation would be instantly rewritten.

Agreed, we have a couple of UK manufacturers/distributors who seem to spend their time looking for ways to circumnavigate the firearms laws, only for the law to be amended.Blackstuff wrote:The way its currently worded an electronic/solenoid affair would not be prohibited, but I would wager once one came out using that the legislation would be instantly rewritten.

Would there be a market for a UK spec T Contender style clone?
Depending on price I would take one in 10mm.

No and no.Mattnall wrote:Thinking of buying one? Have you got your FAC yet?
Ditto to buying my namesake, although that needs me to also get something even harder to get than an FAC - a lottery ticket with the right numbers on it.

it would be easy enough to have a locking lever fitted so that automatic ejection did not take place. No other detail changes to the concept would be needed to make it legal again.
