I should have mentioned that the longer, thinner spring in the photo is the M1 carbine spring.

Hello
Shooting my Rossi 24" octagonal stainless underlever in the 50m competition Sunday, I bought this new 26years ago and its never missed a beat and is so accurate.
I fitted it with a 11mm scope rail instead of the rear sight, and also a Parker Hale PH17 aperture sight on the side.

Also using taking my westlake browning buckmark lbp along for a few competitions.

Taking the Ross MKIII out tomorrow. I like shooting that rifle but have not shot it since sometime last year.

Peter.

I had my Mosin Nagent M44 carbine and my Portuguese 04/39 out today. I was using Russian military ammunition in the M44 and drew a few comments regarding the fireball about singed eyebrows and the possibility of setting the grass on fire. Some of these are chaps with rifle, scope, moderator and rest that together cost nearly as much as my car. However, the comments were said with a smile, so all was good.

Ha Ha
Exactly, Peter.

If you remember I would shoot 11mm Mauser, no scope, no sling, no fuss...

But always scored.

Hello
I am trying a different scope on my already very accurate Enfield No 4 1/2, its fitted with a clamp scope mount and a 4x Pecar scope.
just for a change I am going to try fitting my Simmons Proair 6-18x40 Target scope to see if this helps with my tired eyes.
The 4x scoped target seems to be getting further away now at 100m
