Does anyone have a view on the use of modern large rifle primers versus shotgun primers in shotgun cartridges? I am right at the point where I am about to start building a run of 8, 10 and 14 bore brass cartridges when I suddenly wondered what the implication of using rifle primers would be. I am thinking more for more precise ignition than anything else plus there is a wide range of LR primers readily available and they are slightly cheaper.
Anyone?

CBC Magtech went with Large pistol primers when they developed their range of brass cases
I think that the first ones they made DID use 209 s/g primers, but they switched to L.P. instead
