300 dollar plinking gun becomes 650 quid by adding another 8 inches of barrel and a steel rod....? Nah.

Something I'm looking into at the moment as part of a bigger plan, if there's enough interest I'll pursue.

310mm barrel, fake / real moderator, carbon fibre rear bar and stainless counter balance. Looking to offer something different to the run of the mill Buckmarks and 1911's

The P22 doesn't have a great reputation for reliabilty of accuracy. Supposedly, a new design of magazine cured one issue, but accuracy is allegedly still an issue....

Perhaps not the base model to plan with?

It's one of a few I've been looking at as well as the Sig Mosquito and Ruger SR22. It will have a completely new barrel which will or should improve accuracy. The real fun and games will be with the Home Office approval process which I'm just venturing into :run:

All power to you.

However, if I may just chuck in a couple of things which I hope you don't take as me trying to pi$$ on your bonfire.

Sig, same issues as the Walther. Unreliable and accuracy issues. SR22, FUGLY! But, on the plus side, Ruger has supplied many UK spec guns since the '97 Act. Mini 14 BOA and the Redhawk. Perhaps they will be more receptive. And, the SR22 isn't the only rimfire pistol they make....

Have you thought of S&W? They do a shed load of rimfire now, as well as a .22 M&P to go with the M&P 15-22. Not to mention the revolvers of all calibers and, they have a semi production facility in the Performanace Center where "sprint runs" can be catered for........

Not for me, I prefer the 1911 LBP, but fair play to you...the more lbp's the better! :)

If you are looking a reliable and accurate .22 LBP pistol the Browning Buckmark would be my choice.

S&W also looks like an option, still waiting for a response from their Performance Center from a couple of weeks back. To be honest I just fancy the challenge of bringing (any) one of these to market. As long as the end result is reliable, accurate and affordable I'll be happy.
