Just spotted this at Arundel Militaria, a thing of beauty indeed.
The sun shade on the ZF41 do not look to be original and I am always wary of any 'all original' type German sniper rifle.

Mind you it's a good site have a look at every now and then. I got my Destroyer from them and Andy is an absolute pleasure to deal with.

I think it was Arundel I saw at a show a few years ago, they had undoubtedly the nicest 4(T) I have ever seen with a No32 Mk1 'scope and case.
DEACTIVATED!
Apparently the previous owner a member of the clergy had owned it for many years and gave up due to failing eye sight, so they deactivated it. Sad sad thing to see.

Ovenpaa,
I have not handled a ZF 41 for a while, but the shades looks original to me...

They are certainly to the original pattern but some of the pictures in the link show them in detail and they look very nice for items that I would expect to be either knocked around or lost quite quickly.

Deactivation - a sin for sure. However, de-acs have an open market (at the moment  ) whereas Sec.1s don't. As for licensing de-acs, can't see that happening as it would depend on the owner volunteering that he/she has got one and presumably then getting a license under grand dad's rules. Who's going to administer that in this economic climate? FLDs? Non-starter.
Sorry, I was off on one then
