when i'm seating 75g amax in my 223 the seating plunger is putting small ring dents in the bullet ogive , does anyone know of a better plunger or is this a shooting shed project?
i've just fitted an NXS 5.5-22x56 and i can get 71moa elevation which should get me out past 1200m !!! so i think the bullets need all the help they can get ?

To get your seating stem to conform to your bullet profile stuff some kitchen foil into to and seat to shape with a plugged fired case. Bit of dowel does fine for that.
For more permanent fix lightly smear the bullet with grease, push some epoxy, I like JB Weld into the stem, lower onto the bullet and let it harden and voila a bespoke seating stem.

Keep it somewhere warm and the JB will go off a bit quicker. I have done very similar in the past for meplat trimming on Wilson systems and they work well. Kiwi shoe polish is my preferred release agent.
