Go bigger. You will regret it. I wish I bought a bigger cabinet.

Got mine online from "The Safe Shop", excellent service, next day delivery and they do/did a price match plus beat by 10% or the likes, so i did a google search and found them cheaper elsewhere on the net, i filled out their online form and sure enough they matched the price and beat it by 10%, not sure if they still do the price match but worth a look, i even received a call to say that they couldnt give me a delivery time slot for before 1 pm the week i ordered it due to the safes coming direct from Brattonsound, so they arranged a saturday delivery for me and also consolidated 2 orders i had placed into one to ensure both safes were delivered together, so couldnt fault the service.

Go as big as you can afford as they never hold what they reckon without a squeeze, ive got a 5, a 7 and a large ammo safe.

DJS are good. The 7/9 deep with integral ammo locker is good value at £220 quid and light enough to manoeuvre single-handed ( I got the standard one with two locks rather than the vault-style door). Ammo locker I estimate would hold 1200 rounds of 303/308 in boxes. If the cabinet lies on its back bolted to the floor and you just chuck the rounds in loose it'll take 2500. The rifle capacity is heroically optimistic unless you take bolts out, top and tail them and aren't too fussed about them bumping against each other.

When buying a safe I recon you should think what you want multiply it by 2 then get another one for ammo thats whats happened to me,

I always say go bigger, the typical 7 gun cabinet might hold 7 small or iron sighted rifles top and tailed but try and get half a dozen scoped rifles in and you are scuppered.

Either get the biggest you can find/afford/fit or leave room for the second cabinet you are sure to need at some point.
