I am looking for the Parker Hale M84 or Parker Hale 1200TX in .308 for 600 and up to 1000 yards shooting.

I plan to use sling and sights. Which Parker Hale sight would be good match for either rifle? I also want the ability to switch to a scope.

What are the differences between these two beauties? Does one have an advantage over the other?

Thanks in advance for the suggestions.

I am looking for a Parker Hale M84 or 1200TX with little luck here in the states. I however did find a guy that has the M84 for sale. Here is his advertisement: http://forum.accurateshooter.com/index. ... =3806074.0 . He is asking $650 for the gun and $350 for the sight and base. The gun still needs a little work.

1. Is this a good price for the gun?
2. Should I pass on the sight and base for $350? The sight he says is a central sliding aperture, ¼ moa. Does it look familiar to you?
3. What Parker Hale sight would go on this M84? I see there are 2 kinds of PH5E … PH5E/TX and PH5E/4. I understand the PH5E/TX is for the 1200TX.

Also, would you be able to point me in the right direction as far as finding the correct base/mount that will accommodate a Parker Hale sight and a scope? I would like to have the option to use sights, then switch to scope and then back to sights without losing zero.

Lastly, what globe front sight will I want to get for the Parker Hale rifle?

The old timers at the club have been trying to get me to shoot sling and iron sights and Im thinking the Paker Hale will be perfect!
