What do you do with your old Christmas Tree?

We find somewhere nice to plant them..
This beautiful Blu spruce I bought in a flower pot as a table top decoration cost £15. it grew well, and was transplanted into a bucket. It came indoors for a week at Christmas every year for about five years, till it got too big for the bucket, and our little room. It has spent the last seven years(ish) planted in the front garden, until this year my wife decided it was getting too big for our small garden. So it had to go. Luckily I found a good home for it..
This one didn't do so well in the bucket, we hope it does better now it is planted out.

Well done Jenks.
Mine goes back in the box (our little shack at Bisley was too small for a real one)
I read somewhere that mine uses exponentially more carbon than 'killing' a real one.
One we planted with the kids thirty odd years ago was still there, in a Devon wood,a couple of years ago.
Hope yours flourishes.

We haven't had a Christmas tree for about 9 years, since our cat decided she should be on top instead of the fairy sign01

The sad looking Christmas tree in the last picture I posted has a particular resonance for me. Three years this May I married my partner of nearly twenty years. Christmas eve of the year I proposed. I put a diamond (engagement) ring on the very top of the tree. I had a Laser pointer that I lined up perfectly with the diamond. I practised till I could hit the diamond spot on every time. So Christmas eve my wife kissed me and said '' I'm off to bed'' I said ''before you go up I would like to show you something'' I had made sure the lights were out in the room where the little Christmas tree was. I told her to sit on the foot of the stairs and hit the button on the laser..... I hit the diamond within a second. Instantly the facets on the diamond exploded the red light all over the room. It was spectacular. My wife had no idea what it was. I had to tell her go to the tree and see what was there. Needless to say she was overwhelmed by emotion........... As was I.... Soppy old fart aint I.
