I have a couple of questions about weighting spent cases in. I have a fair bit of berdan primed to get rid of.

Do the primers need to be removed? If they do, where are they disposed of?

What sort of quantities are needed for scrap men to be interested?

Are scrap dealers likely to refuse to handle spend cases?

Are steel cases in demand for recycling? Again what about primers in them as they would be a different material, what if they are lacquered Barnaul style.

spent cases are just that --dead ,you have inerted them ,however any cases with live or unstruck primers may be "killed" bt sqirting a bit of kerosene or deisel fuel in the case .Just weigh them in I regularly take 5-6 kg in and he bats not one eyelid ,when we dug out the butts we weighed the lot in jackets and all .

Check before you take it as some scrappies won't take range brass, and phone around as the price per KG varies from place to place, don't bother with the steel cases there is no money in that.

What Dan said I had to do a fair bit of ringing around before i found one that took range brass. Even when i turned up the guy on the floor tried turning me away but i had the email from the management saying they would take it.

Oh and you need to take along ID now, as they're trying to stop pikeys nicking scrap
