Not really a gun shop question but.................
I bought Dillon 550b second hand in perfect condition, hardly used. it came with loading plates and funnels for .38 Special/.357 Mag and .40 cal / 10mm pistol. I ordered .243 and .308 caliber conversion kits from Dillon direct and it took then just three days to get them into the UK. However HMRC have sat on them since the 20th of March and I cant get any info as to why or how long it will take to get the good delivered. Anyone got any experience on this?

Days to weeks depends on what they are doing, feel like, phase of the moon, hormones who the feck knows!

I get stuff in all the time and there seems to be no rhyme nor reason to their timing, I've had stuff opened and still come to me within the week other stuff hasn't been touched and takes weeks.

You could try ringing them, if you know some one that can help but not as it should be as the service should be the same for all.

Good luck!

Ive had a parcel sat with customs since 17th January! Likewise they cannot tell me why or when it will be released!

They are waiting for someone to calculate the taxes due. Everything over 18 quid, which includes the cost of shipping, has VAT and excise duties attached. Then, they let Parcel Force or Royal Mail collect those duties for them, and they'll charge you another eight quid for the priviledge.....

At one time not that long ago, only a small percentage got tugged and were charged. Now it seems to be everything! Sign of the times I suppose.

We have had parts sit in customs for three weeks earlier this year, in the end I asked someone in HMRC if they knew why the items were slow to be released and they arrived the next day!

I am due in parts from Australia and South Africa this week so fingers crossed for them otherwise it can be very frustrating...

I have just been told by HMRC/Border Agency that my parcel has been cleared today and Parcel Force will deliver next week. I hope so I need to reload some brass for next sundays range day. Took three weeks though.
