38/357 lever action.

#1 Post by M99 »

Who has what for sale.

I was originally set on a marlin but now I am open to what is out there.

I would prefer to collect as opposed to rfd it, I am happy to travel. I am in Scotland next week stalking so anywhere on way could be good.

Seen a Winchester on GunWatch, only £225

I guess you never actually did a search on PigeonWatch prior to posting the wanted advert?

I'd be all over it like a rash if I was after one to go with my Winchester Trapper .45

Really looking for a 38/357 mag. Not just a 38sp.

Why? Do you need to canabalise it for parts? :55:

Mike, I'd say stay away from S/H Winchesters. Spare parts are an absolute pain to source as they have appeared to dry up and Winny went bust!
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Guns dont kill people. Dads with pretty Daughters do...!

Cheers Sim.

I am steering towards Marlin but I do like the slicked up Rossi.

A properly slicked up Rossi is quite good fun and reasonably accurate. You can get a video from Stevesgunz if you want to do the slicking yourself, it's quite satisfying to be able to dismantle and re-assemble a Rossi!
Careful now/that sort of thing
