I'm looking for one of these because the one I have has a crack in it.
It's looks as though it might be fixed with a bit of precise welding but I though someone might have a spare or a scrappy 1100 ready for the parts bin.

Brownells = $75. In stock.

I recall some part of the Firearms Act regarding welds & guns...not kosher from what I remember

Can you get that sort of thing sent from the US?

No problem with welding the action bar. Its not pressure bearing or proofable in any way.
£90 from Chambers will be cheaper than $75 from Brownells.
Have had no issue with the weld on mine but it is tricky as not much to work with.
If you do it try and leave as much weld as you can to prevent further cracking.

I know a guy with a metal working business and he's happy to do it. Where did you leave the weld metal? It looks to me as if a thin "sleeve" of weld round the crack might be possible and would not impede the function of the action.

Not sure the weld worked. I'm still looking for a spare action bar.

Brownells WILL ship gun parts as long as the order total is not over $100, before shipping...
