The International Ammunition Association has pictures of sectioned cartridges here, including some of the different attempts at duplex/triplex cartridges with multiple projectiles.

I was surprised at how complicated armour piercing rifle ammunition looks to manufacture (and that anyone bothers in 5.56mm given how tiny the AP core looks. Does anyone know how the cost and accuracy compares to ball ammunition?

Interesting pictures. I was a member of the European Cartridge Research Association (ECRA) for a while however the IAA was always a vastly superior source of information.

Got 100 of .223 (5.56x45) Federal green tip in the box in case of zombies but no time to try it for now...A lot will depend on what it is fired from I reckon. Maybe a bolt action .223 with a decent barrel and twist rate will give better results than from an AR style carbine.
