I am thinking of buying a straight pull AR from lantac. Are there regular comps in the southern area for such a rifle?

The reason I ask is that when ordering gun and sights I can keep spec within confines of any comps I may wish to enter. I want a rifle that provides max comp options...

I would also like to find out more about this as I am looking to add one of these as a variation and obviously would like to know which ranges I could use for comps.

I am actually going to start a thread on the "which AR" subject. I realise there are some older ones but quality ect may have changed as time goes on...

Have a look at AR.15.com on the UKHTF section or on CSR Shooter.

AR15.com is moribund, all the competition shooters are on the CSR forum which is closed forum you need to register first to access it. There are a few PR competitions, have a look at the practical rifle site.
However to compete in Civilian Service Rifle all you need is a centre fire rifle with a detachable magazine of at least 10 rds capacity. You can use iron sights or optics, it's not about dressing up your rifle with gucci tactical gear, nor wearing the latest cammo kit.

CSR match details are put on the NRA site.

Mark Bradley helps organise and shoots CSR matches, if you are interested in competing he can arrange a loan rifle on the day
