Que?

XS Sights make a nice mount...but you'd need a LONG-EYE relief scope for them

I put a x 2.5 Walther pistol scope (not true LER) on my Carl Gustaf using a 'B-Square' mount - there temporary, so not totally solid but did the job; and showed just how accurate these lovely rifles are...

...might have a piccie...

Me...only on my Win 94

What you need is:

XS/CLIFTON SCOUT SCOPE MOUNT

Build a fast action Scout Rifle with our Weaver Style rail. Available for SMLE, Mauser and commercial rifles.

Features:

Built tough from lightweight aluminum.
Hard anodized for surface hardness and scratch resistance.
Mount completely encircles the barrel using Brownells Acraglas® to solidly lock the mount to the barrel.
Gunsmithing instructions included.

Measure barrel A dia.(see diagram at left).
Round up to the nearest 0.010" and add 0.010"

EXAMPLE: "A" diameter = 0.982",
round up to 0.990", add 0.010"
So the mount you need is 1.000"

Clifton Scout Scope Mount: $60

Here it is - Sorry no close up...
Scout scope.jpg
It's a bit high for prone shooting (and the eye relief slightly too long), but from a fox-hole and on a bag it was excellent.

The best mounts are the ones that replace the rear sight, as opposed to attaching to them...

No not LER as far as I am aware there is no such word in the English language as LER.

Putting a scope on a underlever is a abomination.

XS/CLIFTON SCOUT SCOPE MOUNT. I looked at this mounting system not for me I am afraid.
The best scout long eye relief scope mount for the Carl Gustaf 6.5x5 is made by a guy in the States Called the Dutchman unfortunately like Darrel he is so busy with other projects he is not making any more at the moment and getting a second hand one is all most impossible.
The problem with most of these type of mounts is they are to high. For the swede you need a mount that is really low to get the proper cheek weld.

The next best thing is the S&K mount also made in the USA they come with rings attached only problem with these is they are to high but they are a good solid mount.

So if you are finished ragging me about have any of you guys got a scout mount to sell me.

Thanks for the picture the B square mount attaches to the rear sight leaf not really a good idea there are better mounts out there.

I guess I will just have to make one. :cool2:
