Hello all,

Have any 15-22 owners replaced the forend? I like the feel of the Magpul MOE forend over the sharp plastic picatinny but wasn't sure how easy it would be. Any help would be appreciated.

I recently found a couple of vids on youtube that shows you how to do it. It wasn't too difficult, but not like a standard AR15.

Unless you already have the requisite tools, I would advise looking at getting something like this kit: http://www.tacticool22.com/shop/free-fl ... p-108.html

I haven't swapped out the hand guard on my 15-22 (as I'm happy with Magpul XTM rail covers and an AFG), but I have used their barrel vice and wrench. No problems with buying from/shipping to the UK either :good:

Thanks for the info guys. While it looks simple enough to do, the cost is racking up quite quickly for what is really just basic comfort / looks so I think I'll knock it on the head and stick with rail covers.

That's pretty much what I thought after looking into it.
