FAC Shotgun for clays

Probably a stupid question but just wanting to be clear.
On my FAC it states that my shotgun can be used for target shooting and for shooting vermin.
I'm going along to a clay shoot where FAC shotguns are welcome.
Is clay shooting classed as target shooting?
Thanks

Not in most peoples interpretation, though you will read on here that some FET's interpret the guidelines differently.
Target shooting normally means paper targets,

It needs a condition adding to your FAC, it's a free one :)

Thanks for clarification.
I'll put it in with my next variation.

Also, I think the FEO said I'd require a house alarm if I have more than 9 guns.
Is there any standard it has to be?

Have a look at the Home Office issued Firearms Security Handbook. It specifically states that the number of firearms held cannot be used on it's own for requiring alarms...

That's interesting Sim... our FEO told me I'd need an alarm if I want more than 10...

Five or more, here I think it is.
While I'm here, what's the definition of 'sporting'?
