Heres one from the early eighties, my pals and i used to go to Scarborough for the Olivers Mount racing quite regularly. We always stopped for a couple of beers at the Bunch of Grapes pub at Scaling Dam on the way.
I am far left and the XS650 was mine.
Happy days,
Joe

Last time I was at Olivers Mount I was on a Kettle.
Must look for some 'bike pics. I did run an XS2 many years ago, mine was a dope snorting 844 Hagon bored and stroked fire breathing nightmare, with less finesse than a ticking time bomb.....

A bit later.
We headed to DK to get married on this 595, I did find a picture of the two of us shortly after the wedding but given the camera angle the Vikings boobs appear to be doing their best to beat a Zeppelin into third place, not really ideal for the forum. (Or my well being either!)
BTW - yes it was in the living room
Second picture was a chair I picked up for a 1946 16H

Ah yes, Baja I think, no doubt with an engine big enough to stop the world spinning on it's axis. Which reminds me, I have an interesting picture somewhere.................

Robin..
Wow! What a beauty, as a young soldier I had a Triumph T110 (sadly no pictures,) The chap I bought it off was a brilliant rider, he went on to captain the Army Blue Eagles helicopter display team. unfortunately I was not as skilled a rider as he was and fell off breaking my Tib& Fib, very close to the ankle , In recent years resulting in very painful Arhritis. I met him some years later after he had left the Army (he was still flying helicopters) I noticed that he too had a pronounced limp. Obviously I asked the inevitable question . Apparently The Blue Eagles were displaying at the Paris Air show, this would be at a quick guess Mid seventies, after his display, a Tiger Moth gave a display and my chum had cadged a ride. Well it crashed! he was in the front seat and ended up with the engine in his lap. Curiously I met him a few years earlier. I was working in The Arabian Gulf (in those days we called it the Persian Gulf) Anyay I lived in a company guest house in Manama Bahrein. It was common practice for ex pats to wander down to the paper shop mid morning to pick up the British papers. On this particular morning just beforeI entered the shop and for no particular reason at all Ithought of my old chum (perhaps my ankle was hurting me) anyway as i opened the door a bloke came out Iinstantly recognised him as my old mate the chap who sold me the Triumph. How weird was that. he was still in the Army and was on excercise in the Gulf. Funny old world 'innit'.

Glad you like the bike, Jenks.

Early '30's twin port 488 single at guess.
Edit - confirmed, scary eh? I can still quote pre/early post war Norton single dating codes as well.
