Not a Peli, however I have a wonderful aluminum transit case here all welded construction, pre-cut foam inside, fitted with two latches suitable for padlocks, finished in a rather fetching green and looking rather second hand however it is quite capable of going around the world another three times and being slung off the back of Hercs.

It’s not a peli, but I recently bought one of these, and was surprised at how good it was.

It’s a bit shorter than the peli at 36” ( which is the reason I bought it), but depending on the firearm you want to put in it, they might be worth a look. The foam is made up of little cubes that you can remove to make what shapes you want. There is a video review on YouTube.

Sorry, I don't know, but I've just emailed them to ask. I'll let you know if I get a reply.

I just had another look at mine. Apart from the two locking points, there are also 2 places to use pad locks. Also, on the bottom of the case is a pressure relief valve, so I'm guessing that they are taken on planes. But we'll see what they say.

Just got a rely -

"Hi Way,

Yes they are. Not only that but the AW series offers a pressure release valve for non-pressurized holds.

That case is in stock for a next working day delivery.

Kind Regards,

I’ve used the larger double-rifle version of the Plano for a couple of trips by air, and I know a lot of other people who use them regularly for air travel. They are pretty good if you don’t want to splash on a Peli (I certainly didn't). The slightly older version had a minor problem where the pins that hold the clips onto the main moulding could slip out - I can't see from the photo whether these have been improved (the clips themselves are different). It was unlikely to happen under tension and there’s plenty of redundancy. I also taped mine up, and had rings of lorry inner tube around the case like rubber bands, covering the hinges on the long side. The handle came loose on mine, but admittedly I had two rifles and masses of tools and kit in it. Since replaced and used more sensibly I've had no problems. The wheels are handy on the larger case.

Where are you located?

I get some ex demo peli cases at about 50% discount.
