I've seen a Norinco 1887 FAC 12G lever action shotgun up for sale. Has a 28" barrel.
I know with pump actions a 24" barrel is required, and I've seen .410 L/A shotguns with shorter 22" barrel as Sec 1 FAC.
Do L/A 12 bores just have to conform to 12/24"?

Yes,
minimum 12" barrel and overall length 24" for lever or bolt action shotguns.
That said there is no point cutting the barrel back to 12" as it would be shorter than the magazine on an 1887 and the blast would be even worse than it with a 17" barrel. Plus you loose the sight radius and the pattern would be huge!

I don't plan on doing any drastic chopping
Just was wondering on the law more than anything else.

Thoose Terminator 2 type shotguns would be legal wouldn't they? it looks to be a similar length to my LBR from the video.

You'd have to check the OAL but it would seem so! Thats a 10 gauge in the film by the way, it just looks smaller next to Arnie in full-roid form!
