Any good gun shops in Cornwall ?

#1 Post by Primer »

Heading off down to st Ives for a few days this week and just wondered if there were any good gun shops worth a visit (mostly looking for reloading stuff), I will be travelling via the A30 from Exeter, so if there's anything enroute?

Primer,

There is Sportsman Gun Centre just outside Exeter on M5, there is Helston Gunsmiths, guess where - Helston! Then we have Prestige Firearms run by John Williams near Wendron, nr Helston.

I seem to recall there is an optics company in Paignton that MAY deal in reloading bits. He used to be a partner in Sportsmans when they were in Paignton. Deals mainly in scopes but check via Google search.

I have to admit I save a my shopping list for the Imperial or Phoenix meetings. We don't have a lot of RFDs here.

Let me know if you want any more details and I'll PM you.

Enjoy Cornwall. It should be a bit quieter now all the emmets have gone - Oh sorry!!!!!

For reloading stuff Cornwall is pretty poor. You might get a good deal on some components but its a bit hit and miss, as far as equipment goes most only hold stocks of junk.

Cornwall

A strange far-off place inhabited by weird people who can barely speak English. Crap roads and infrastructure. Would probably benefit from being even further-off than it is now.
Pasties and apple juice are okay if that's your thing but I wouldn't hold my breath for anything like reloading equipment.
Oh yeah ... and for goodness sake, don't try stuffing your car through one of their 'hedges'
