Hi,

I contacted an RFD who is selling a Benelli M1 Super 90 (FAC). Its a 2010 model but brand new and never been fired. Still has the full 10 year warranty. I only have a Section 2 certificate but the RFD said he/they will crimp the mag tube and send it to my RFD for me to pick up.

Now, I maybe totally wrong but isn't that breaking the law as I thought once an FAC then it has to stay one unless its sent to the proof house for them to OK the work and then re-supply documentation.

Obviously, I don't want to get caught with a Section 1 shotgun.

Any advice ?

Yes it will have to go to the proof house.

..and come back with a certificate stating the magazine has been restricted.

ok, that's what I thought. The RFD failed to mention this and is why I was a bit concerned.
