Bora Arms 99

#1 Post by UKYankee »

I now have a free shotgun slot on my FAC and was interested in the Bora Arms 99 AR15 style shotguns. Just wondered if anyone here owns one, has shot one or knows anything other than the F4i basic info from Sept? Seen them being sold new for £499 which seems really cheap; almost too cheap which is what worries me.

Cheers

Is it just a coincidence that its official name is the "BARAK"
Note to mods-we really need a 'Tongue-in-cheek' smiley thingy ;)

I'm also waiting for more info on them as i plan to sell my Benelli Supernova to buy one (as i barely ever use it). They're supposed to be better than the MK1919 but as there are so few of them about, and even fewer experienced opinions i'm holding out getting one

Bugger! I just bought one! :o

Don't suppose you know where I can a Sec.1 magazine tube for it (or have the crimp pushed out!)?

You could try MidwayUK but they are expensive. Getting the old tube off could be a problem depending on how they stuck it on there!

Screwed in with threadlock so a bit of heat and some torque :good:

There's a good video on Youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kL39JsrrY-E

Or I may just give it to my son for Clay Pigeon and look for something else in Sec.1, I have a Rem Wingmaster Deluxe with the ATI tactical stock set, +5 extension tube and 6 shell holder but it's a fair weight even when empty!.

Ideally Mark (Blackstuff) may forget to take his M2 home from PSG one Saturday and I'll give it a good home

It'll lighten up right nice if ya take some of the sh1te off it !
Besides, extra weight helps with the recoil factors...innit

"Sh1te"?? Is this some strange Scottish colloquialism? wtfwtf

Any more out of you and I'll tell that nice Mr Salmond about all the nasty WMDs you have, not to mention the army of highly trained Killer Guinea Pigs

I handled one but have not fired it.

It felt VERY light.

Handles as well as an AR which is no surprise. Very pointable.

Stripped, it reveals a very generic gas operated system.

It is really just another budget semi auto shotgun, just happens to be based on the AR in style.

I prefer my Vepr 12.
